Participant Plus Ones

A participant plus one is someone you can invite to join you in Roundhay Park as part of your event day experience.

Whilst you’ll have your fellow participants to enjoy the event with, we want you to be able to bring someone along with you, because experiences are better when shared with someone else.

In the participant newsletters in April and May, there was a unique code that would allow your plus one to register to attend. They need to have done this before the extended deadline of midnight on Sunday 9 May to secure their place. We’ll then be in touch with them with all they need to know ahead of the event.

Anyone who entered after the newsletter was sent out will receive their link and code in an additional email.

Plus ones must register in order to attend. When your plus one registers, they’ll receive a QR code which they’ll need to keep safe as this will be activated to allow them access to the park once they’ve completed their health declaration and code of conduct, which we’ll send them in the week of the event.

Plus ones will need to be 18 or over and will be charged £5 because of the Covid-Secure measures that are being put in place to help them attend safely. They’ll also go through the same process of having their temperature checked when they arrive and are strongly encouraged to wear a face covering.

A limited number of spectators are allowed at events in England from step three of the UK Government’s roadmap, however, whether spectators are allowed or not, your plus one will be able to attend your race.

If spectators are allowed, you and they will then be able to stay in the park after you’ve finished racing to watch the rest of the action, including the day’s elite races. If spectators aren’t allowed, you’ll both simply head to the exits once your race is finished.

With the venue capacity strictly limited, we can only allow one plus one per participant, however from Monday 10 - Sunday 16 May, there will be a priority window for participants to access additional spectator places before remaining spaces are available for general spectators on Monday 17 May. All plus ones and spectators must be registered in order to attend the event.

Plus ones must be 18 or over and cost £5. Spectator places for under 16s will be free with over 16s being charged at £5.

Please note that all spectator tickets outside of each participant's plus one are dependent on step three of the UK Government's roadmap being reached.
