Come Visit Aj Bell This Weekend In The Event Village

If you get a chance, do come and relax with us in the AJ Bell tipi at the event village – we’ll even shout you a free smoothie! In return, it would be great if you could help out the event’s official charity partner, Leeds Hospitals Charity, by donating whatever you can to support doctors, nurses, and healthcare workers across the city. The charity’s volunteers will be collecting donations in our tipi on the day, so if you’d like to know more about their amazing work, just ask them.

Smoothies aren’t the only thing we’ll be giving away in the next few days. If you’d like the chance to win prizes that could significantly improve the way you train for your next event, check out our #TriWithGeorgia competition, which is due to launch this weekend. You can find more information about it here.

And while we’re on the subject of training, remember that the Triathlon Hub on our AJ Bell website is always available if you need any last-minute race tips or training advice from World Champion Georgia Taylor-Brown. As ever, our website is also the place to go if you’re looking for ways to keep your finances looking as healthy as your triathlete’s body! Paul Watkins, Director of Fundraising at Leeds Hospitals Charity said:

“We’re so thrilled to be the charity partner for the AJ Bell 2021 World Triathlon Leeds! This is one of the most prestigious events in the global sporting calendar and, after a tough year with many events being cancelled, we’re excited to be working together again with British Triathlon and AJ Bell to create an unforgettable event. Virtual activities in 2020 raised an astonishing £20,000 for Leeds Hospitals Charity, helping us to support the incredible work of our NHS heroes, caring for patients and families at our local NHS hospitals during the pandemic. As the charity partner this year, we’re determined to beat that total and raise as much as we can to support our local NHS hospitals. We’re extremely grateful to everyone who’s taking part and raising money for Leeds Hospitals Charity.”
